Southlees is a service for up to 6 people with a learning disability. This is a detached property set in its own well maintained grounds in Almondbury, Huddersfield.
Southlees is located on a quiet street close to local amenities and bus routes. There are many areas of interest close by. Some of the people living at Southlees enjoy horse riding, swimming and playing pool. People enjoy their own choices of arts and crafts and even have the opportunity to sell these items at their day placements or at the very popular craft fair.
Staff at Southlees are well trained highly skilled individuals who are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and maintaining individual needs on a daily basis.
People who live at Southlees are involved with the day to day running of the service, choosing menus and special meals out. People are involved in making choices regarding days out or holidays. Independence and skills are maintained by involving people who live with us and ensuring they have a say and are listened to and heard.
We carry out regular reviews with you and your family and aim to be truly person-centred.
